Our Love Story: From a DM to "I Do"

It all started in 2020, right in the middle of the pandemic, when I posted a TikTok duet to Chike's song "Roju" just vibing and having fun. Then boom! Chike reposted it on his page (thanks, Chike you're forever part of this love story!). Somewhere across the globe, this incredibly handsome man saw the video, and well… let's just say his heart skipped a beat.

He bravely slid into my DMs ,smooth, sweet, and totally charming except… I didn't see it. His message was sitting quietly in my request folder while he kept dropping comments on my stories like a true romantic in disguise. But fate had a plan. One random day, I finally opened my request inbox, saw his message, replied… and that reply changed everything.

We started talking and just couldn't stop. It felt like we'd known each other forever. Even though we were oceans apart he in the U.S., me in Nigeria our bond only grew stronger. We laughed, we shared, we dreamed, and fell deeper in love with each conversation.

Then came the moment we'd both been waiting for he flew to Nigeria, and when we finally saw each other in person for the first time, it was like magic. Butterflies. Fireworks. Sparks. All of it. One look, one meeting and we just knew this was it.

Since that day, not a single day has passed without us talking. Not one. We've been each other's favorite person, best friend, and biggest cheerleader. And now, we're getting married still talking, still laughing, still hopelessly in love, and still holding onto that beautiful dream of being together forever.

So here's to a love that started in the DMs and grew into something too beautiful for words. Our hearts knew, even before we did this was always meant to be.
